Melanie know that she still loved her and supported her no
matter what. It was a beautiful moment. My sister felt like a
weight had been lifted off of her.
Now Melanie’s girlfriend Devon is part of the family and
everyone loves her! My strict religious mom is now a supporter of
gay rights and defends gay people very passionately. I never in a
million years would have thought that she would be so accepting.
It was a beautiful coming out that brought my entire family closer
together and opened my mom’s mind!
